2. Eligibility and Account Creation

To use Amores, you must create an account by providing:

  • Profile photo and bio

2.3 Account Security

You are responsible for:

3. User Conduct and Prohibited Activities

When using Amores, you agree to:

  • Report inappropriate behavior or content
  • Respect others' boundaries and privacy

3.2 Prohibited Conduct

You agree NOT to:

  • Harassment: Harass, bully, stalk, intimidate, threaten, or abuse any user
  • Hate Speech: Post content that promotes violence, discrimination, or hatred
  • Impersonation: Impersonate another person or entity
  • Inappropriate Content: Upload nudity, sexually explicit content, or offensive material
  • Spam: Send spam, solicitations, or commercial messages
  • Scams: Engage in fraudulent activities or financial scams
  • Illegal Activity: Use the service for any illegal purpose
  • Hacking: Attempt to hack, reverse engineer, or compromise the platform
  • Bot Usage: Use bots, scripts, or automated tools
  • Multiple Accounts: Create multiple accounts without authorization
  • Data Mining: Scrape or collect user data without permission
  • Minors: Allow minors to use your account

3.3 Content Guidelines

All content you post must:

  • Be appropriate and respectful
  • Not violate any laws or third-party rights
  • Not contain personal contact information (phone, email, social media)
  • Be accurate and not misleading
  • Be your own original content or properly licensed

4. User Content and Intellectual Property

4.1 Your Content

You retain ownership of all content you post on Amores, including photos, messages, and profile information. However, by posting content, you grant Amores a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to:

  • Use, reproduce, modify, and display your content
  • Create derivative works based on your content
  • Distribute and publish your content in connection with the Service
  • Sublicense these rights to our service providers

This license ends when you delete your content or account, except where content has been shared with others.

4.2 Our Content

All content, features, and functionality of Amores (including text, graphics, logos, icons, images, software) are owned by Amores and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our content without permission.

5. Privacy and Data Protection

Your privacy is important to us. Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information. By using Amores, you also agree to our Privacy Policy.

6. Subscriptions and Payments

6.1 Free and Premium Features

Amores offers both free and premium subscription services. Premium features may include unlimited swipes, advanced filters, profile boosts, and more.

6.2 Subscription Terms

  • Subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly, quarterly, or annually)
  • Payment is charged to your payment method at confirmation of purchase
  • Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
  • You can manage or cancel subscriptions through your app store account settings

6.3 Refund Policy

Refunds are handled according to the app store's refund policies (Apple App Store or Google Play Store). Generally, payments are non-refundable, but exceptions may be made on a case-by-case basis.

6.4 Price Changes

We reserve the right to change subscription prices. You will be notified of price changes in advance, and changes will apply to subsequent billing periods.

7. Matches and Connections

7.1 Matching Algorithm

Our matching algorithm uses your profile information, interests, preferences, and location to suggest compatible users. Matches are suggestions only—we do not guarantee compatibility or relationships.

7.2 No Guarantee of Results

Amores does not guarantee that you will find a match, form a relationship, or achieve any specific outcome. Your success depends on many factors outside our control.

7.3 User Interactions

You are solely responsible for your interactions with other users. We are not responsible for the conduct of any user. Exercise caution and use common sense when meeting people online or in person.

8. Safety and Security

8.1 Safety Guidelines

For your safety:

  • Never send money or financial information to other users
  • Be cautious about sharing personal information
  • Meet in public places for first meetings
  • Tell a friend or family member about your plans
  • Trust your instincts—if something feels wrong, it probably is
  • Report suspicious behavior immediately

8.2 Background Checks

Amores does not conduct criminal background checks on users. We cannot verify all information provided by users. Use the service at your own risk.

8.3 Reporting

If you encounter inappropriate behavior, harassment, or violations of these Terms, please report it immediately through the app or contact support@amores.com.

9. Content Moderation

9.1 Our Rights

We reserve the right to:

  • Review, monitor, and moderate all content
  • Remove or refuse to post any content that violates these Terms
  • Suspend or terminate accounts for policy violations
  • Cooperate with law enforcement investigations

9.2 No Obligation

While we strive to maintain a safe environment, we are not obligated to monitor all content or user interactions. We cannot guarantee that all content complies with these Terms.

10. Termination

10.1 By You

You may terminate your account at any time through app settings. Upon termination:

  • Your profile will be removed from the Service
  • You will lose access to matches, messages, and premium features
  • Subscriptions will not be refunded unless required by law
  • Some information may be retained as described in our Privacy Policy

10.2 By Us

We may suspend or terminate your account immediately, without notice, if:

  • You violate these Terms or our policies
  • We suspect fraudulent or illegal activity
  • We receive legal requests or court orders
  • Your account has been inactive for an extended period
  • We discontinue the Service

11. Disclaimers and Warranties

11.1 "As Is" Service

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
  • Warranties of non-infringement
  • Warranties that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free
  • Warranties regarding the accuracy or reliability of content

11.2 No Responsibility for User Conduct

We are not responsible for:

  • The conduct of any user
  • The accuracy of user profiles or information
  • Disputes between users
  • Offline interactions between users

12. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, AMORES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

  • Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
  • Loss of profits, revenue, data, or use
  • Personal injury or property damage
  • Damages resulting from user interactions or meetings
  • Unauthorized access to or alteration of your content
  • Statements or conduct of any third party on the service

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the last 12 months, or $100, whichever is less.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Amores and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising from:

  • Your use of the Service
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of any third-party rights
  • Content you post on the Service
  • Your interactions with other users

14. Dispute Resolution

14.1 Informal Resolution

If you have a dispute with us, please contact us first at legal@amores.com to attempt informal resolution.

14.2 Arbitration Agreement

Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service will be resolved through binding arbitration, rather than in court, except where prohibited by law. You waive your right to a jury trial or to participate in class action lawsuits.

14.3 Governing Law

  • Are non-refundable (except where required by law)
  • May expire or be revoked at our discretion
  • Are forfeited upon account termination

17. Third-Party Services

Our Service may integrate with third-party services (payment processors, social media, analytics). Your use of third-party services is subject to their terms and policies. We are not responsible for third-party services.

18. Service Availability

We strive to keep Amores available 24/7, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may:

  • Suspend the Service for maintenance or updates
  • Modify or discontinue features at any time
  • Experience downtime due to technical issues

We are not liable for any service interruptions or modifications.

19. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by:

  • Posting a notice in the app
  • Sending an email to your registered email address
  • Requiring acceptance upon next app use

Your continued use of Amores after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you don't agree with the changes, you must stop using the Service.

20. General Provisions

These Terms, along with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Amores.

20.2 Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect.

These Terms are provided in English. Translations may be provided for convenience, but the English version governs in case of conflicts.
